MCC is a place where people of many backgrounds and ages encounter the One Triune God who is alive, personal, powerful and full of love for all people. The following practices explain our beliefs and values:
Our love for God
- Celebrating God the Father whose glory is revealed in all things both physical and spiritual.
- Walking fully in the path of Jesus, our Redeemer and our Lord, revealed to us as God the Son, by whose death we have our relationship with God restored and by whose resurrection we have the hope of eternal life.
- Embracing God the Holy Spirit who guides and empowers our journey of faith.
- Listening to and obeying the revelation of God’s Word as experienced in the Scriptures of the Old and New Testament, guided by prayer and attention to God’s present activity in the world.
- Expressing our love in a relationship with God that is authentic, vibrant and artful.
Our love for Others
- Committing ourselves to a local expression of the Universal Church by sharing our physical and spiritual resources, and encouraging each other toward Christ-like lives.
- Relating to one another in grace with love, as we submit ourselves to government under the Articles of Incorporation and Bylaws of MCC.
- Acting as agents of love, peace and hope by living out the message of Jesus through service for our neighbors both near and far.
- Extending our vision by supporting the work of like-minded individuals who are called to represent Jesus to the poor, oppressed, lost and needy throughout the world.
- Showing by word and action that we are born with a meaning and a purpose, both to spread God’s message of salvation for all people and to care for all His creation.
