Louise earned her BA from Wheaton College and an MA in Christian Leadership from Fuller Seminary. She has been a Passenger Service Agent for British Airways, a Ministry Leader/Teacher in several churches, and an Instructor of Continuing Education for Seniors with Fullerton College (CA). She is currently a companion to Seniors in the Bay area with Silver Ride, Inc and part time Co Pastor of Miraloma Community Church.

Scott earned his BA and MA from Wheaton College, a ThM from Westminster Seminary and a PhD from Edinburgh University in Scotland. He has been a Professor, Pastor, and Consultant. He  is currently the Director of Westmont San Francisco (The Urban Study Program of Westmont College, Santa Barbara CA), Adjunct Professor at Fuller Seminary (Menlo Park) and part time CO Pastor of Miraloma Community Church.

Scott and Louise met in the Holy Land on a Wheaton College summer study program. After marriage, Scott commuted to Edinburgh from New York for his PhD on Louise’s flight benefits. They have been married since 1978 and have 2 adult children. They have experienced a journey of struggle and triumph with each child that has ultimately deepened the bond between them as a family, and with Christ.

As a couple, they have served in ministry for nearly 25 years. They each come from unique skill sets and experiences that God has joined together in ministry. Their goal is to please God and to sense God’s pleasure in their lives. This comes despite (and even because of) discouraging and distressing circumstances that have occurred within their family and their ministry. They know God’s purposes are pure and perfect, and that it often takes years for us to fully understand those purposes. They seek to be made complete in God’s image, participating in the redemption of what is ‘bad’ into ‘good’, ‘wounded’ into ‘health’ and ‘empty’ into ‘overflowing’.
